The 2019 mockbuster Monster Island of The Asylum, ironically released at the same time Godzilla: King of the Monsters was, is about an Island called Monster Island, where a monster may have been discovered.


This movie is about an asylum and has a budget that's about the same as a large kid's (original site) meal. It makes good use of it. It focuses on a limited number of characters, and all sequences are shot during lunch. The Asylum may be doing well with it. However, let's not forget this being the kaiju style and... that is kind of how they do.
